Putco Element In-Channel Window Rain Guards Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video

Putco Element In-Channel Window Rain Guards Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and we're gonna be installing the Putco Window Air Deflectors on the front and rears. And compared to a lot of other styles, the Putcos are gonna have a little bit more contours to 'em compared to just the more bubbly style. I think they're gonna look really good on this truck. These wind guards are gonna allow you to roll down your window about an inch and a half to two inches when it's raining and still get some fresh air. They're gonna be made out of a polycarbonate material that is claimed to be virtually unbreakable so when you're driving down the road, any rocks or anything like that's coming off the road in colder temperatures, hotter climates, they're going to resist dents, dings, cracks, and definitely resist breaking so you may not have to get a pair for a long time. more

What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Flint Hill Goods rain deflectors on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The rain deflector is gonna be great for whatever window you put 'em on. Now, this is gonna come in a kit, so we're gonna put 'em on the driver's side and the passenger's side. And you can see they go right in here in the groove or the weather strip when you roll the window up, and that's gonna protect it from the rain hitting here. So I gotta come directly in the window, so you could drop the window just a little bit here to get some airflow when you're going down the road. more

WeatherTech Side Window Rain Guards Installation - 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe

What's up everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, I have my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe in here, and we're gonna be taking a look at the WeatherTech rain guards. WeatherTech is gonna provide a little bit thicker rain guard compared to some of the other ones. I actually took off my OEM ones, which as you can see, very, very thin, very flimsy, and they started to crack over time. So, these aren't going to crack near as quickly as these did. Also, a nice thing about these compared to the OEM ones, as you can see all that glue and stuff. more

Andy: Hello, everyone. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're going to take a look at the Putco Element Window Rain Visors on our 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500. A couple of nice features about having a window rain guard is going to be that whenever you're driving down the road, whether it is raining or snowing, this is going to allow you to crack your window to allow that fresh air in and circulate without getting any of those elements inside the vehicle. Another thing that's nice is they are streamlined and designed to be a little bit closer to the body of the vehicle. So it's going to help with reducing wind noise as well. So as you can see here, also, it does come in chrome finish. more

Today on our 2005 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the Putco air deflectors for both the front and rear doors, part number P580011. To begin our install, we'll first want to clean or prepare the surface where we'll be adhering the Putco air deflectors. This will be inside the window track on the outside edge. To clean it, we're just going to use some rubbing alcoholand a cloth. Keep in mind the older the vehicle is, the more dirt and debris it's going to pick up, so we'llwant to make sure that it's thoroughly cleaned so that our air deflectors will adhere to the vehicle. Now that we've got the tracks cleaned out, let's go ahead and start installing them. Starting on the driver's front, we'll go ahead and remove the backing to the two way adhesive. Onceremoved, we'll take the front edge and feed it into the window track, going up the door frame, then as we get near the front corner, we'll pull the back edge into the window track, and feed them both up to the top of the window track at the same time. Then we'll pull them out to help the adhesiveadhere to the window track. Now once it's fully in position, we'll go ahead and operate the window multiple times, and then leave it up to make sure that the two way tape has a good opportunity to adhere to the window tracking. Now with our driver's front done, we'll go ahead and do the driver's rear. more
